Enabling Legislation

Assembly Bill 4227, 1986:  This bill created the District “to provide emergency medical services, including emergency ambulance and life support services and certain other health services to a specified area within Sonoma and Mendocino counties.”

Assembly Bill 2672, 1988: This bill expanded the District to include Irish Beach at the northern boundary and the Timber Cove/Seaview community at the southern boundary.

Assembly Bill 2091, 2006:  This bill authorizes the District to discount ambulance fees and charges to District-area taxpayers and other residents of the District, in recognition of the parcel tax they pay to support ambulance service.
