Coast Life Support District periodically sponsors classes supporting emergency medical response. All classes are open to the community. Information on scheduled classes can be found on the Upcoming Classes page.
Emergency Medical Technician and Public Safety First Responder (Title 22)
CLSD sponsors annual certification courses for PSFR and EMT. These courses are typically attended by current and prospective members of local fire departments, state and county park staff, and Sheriff Department personnel, although they are open to the public. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation/Automatic External Defribulator (CPR/AED)
CLSD offers CPR/AED training at three levels: classes for the lay community, for professionals who require certification as a job qualification, and for medical providers. Some Heartsaver CPR/AED classes include First Aid training. For more information, send email to CPR Training or call (707) 884-1829 ext 6.
Skills Practice and Test for BLS for Healthcare Provider Cards
CLSD is now offering the skills practice and skills test portions of the online AHA course that will result in a BLS for Healthcare Provider card. To get your BLS for HCP card, sign up for and complete this online AHA course:
Heartcode BLS (online portion)
It is best to contact us and schedule a skills session before completing the online course, as the skills session must be completed within 60 days of online course completion. Print the completion certificate for the course you take and bring it to the skills session. The charge for the skills session and the card for 1-3 people is $50 each.
